Erroll Shand

"Creating life on screen is what ignites life in me."

Erroll has carved out a career in the mediums of Film and TV over the last couple of decades. Born in Aotearoa and starting out in Sydney Australia after studying at University of Southern Queensland, his work now includes a variety of impressive industry names and titles, with directors, producers and locations stretching all over the globe. His diverse body of work is a great reflection of the integrity he brings to the screen as an actor. Whether its Film, Television, Drama, Action or Comedy his work is known for characters being connected, complex, engaging and leaving you wanting more.

His transformational characters and accents have seen him produce an eclectic array of characters – villains such as in "Shannara Chronicles" (Terry Brooks), "Hunters" (Gale Anne Hurd), Murder is Forever (Stephen David Entertainment) - A romantic lead "Little Secret / Pequeno Segredo" (Brazilian submission for best foreign language film for the Oscars 2017) - A King , Crown Prosecutor, Professor, Parliamentary tour guide (Rake, Season 5), Outback trucker and many more.

For him, every job provides a new challenge, every character provides some aspect of life that he has never explored, and that is one of the key aspects of acting that fuels his passion for the job, and will continue to forever.

2020 has already seen Erroll on our screens in the award winning Mystery Road (Season 1 & 2 - Bunya Productions), the Manbooker prize winning tale of The Luminaries (Eleanor Catton - BBC /TVNZ), Peter Duncan's Operation Buffalo (ABC) and Philippino based production "Almost Paradise" (Electric Entertainment - Dean Devlin).

The rest of 2020 he can be seen in the debut feature films "The Justice of Bunny King", alongside Essie Davis and Thomasin McKenzie and the freshly released Savage. Both of them were commissioned by the NZFC (New Zealand Film Commission) and each is a no holds barred insight into the parts of NZ culture seldom spoken about.
